Consent before capture
The session cannot start until the clinician confirms that the patient has agreed to recording and AI-assisted documentation.
Trust, privacy & safety
A consult recording and the draft note can contain a patient’s most personal information. Podlekar is designed to make consent, processing, review, and deletion visible—without hiding important details behind vague security language.
Privacy by deliberate workflow
Trust is not a badge. It is the set of choices made before, during, and after every consultation.
The session cannot start until the clinician confirms that the patient has agreed to recording and AI-assisted documentation.
Podlekar creates documentation for clinician review. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional judgement.
By default, locally held audio is deleted when the clinician approves the note. Optional quality-review retention requires a different consent workflow.
Speech processing may occur outside Australia. Podlekar tells clinics where configured providers may process audio instead of claiming Australian-only processing.
Clinicians can edit, copy, download, approve, or delete. A draft is not silently treated as the final patient record.
Clinic access and technical-administration access are separated. Administrative and quality-review functions are not shown as routine clinician tools.
The data journey
Each stage has a clear owner, purpose, and clinician checkpoint.
The clinician explains the recording and speech-processing arrangement using the consent script for the clinic’s configured provider.
Audio is sent to the configured speech provider for transcription. Podlekar uses the result to prepare an English clinical draft.
The clinician checks the draft, removes errors, adds missing context, and remains responsible for the final clinical record.
Local audio is deleted by default. If a clinic explicitly enables quality-review retention, a separate consent statement applies.
Third-party speech processing
A clinic’s configured provider determines where audio travels. Successful connection tests do not prove residency or training settings.
Frequently asked questions
Local audio is deleted when the clinician approves the note by default. A clinic can explicitly enable short-term local quality-review retention, but that changes the required patient consent. External speech providers apply their own processing and retention terms.
That depends on the speech provider selected by the clinic. Current provider pathways involve processing outside Australia. The consent wording identifies this rather than promising Australian data residency.
Podlekar does not use retained local recordings to train public AI models. Provider-level training assurances depend on the clinic’s provider arrangement. For Eka, the clinic must confirm that training is disabled; Podlekar cannot independently verify that account setting.
No. Podlekar is deliberately review-first. The clinician must assess the draft and decide what belongs in the patient record.
Do not record the consultation. The clinician should document through the clinic’s usual non-recorded workflow.
Review the workflow yourself
We will walk through consent, processing, draft review, and deletion for your clinic’s documentation workflow.
Demo booking is separate from consultation audio. The name, work email, and chosen slot on Book a demo are handled by Cal.com. Patient audio is not part of that booking.
